Types of COVID-19 Tests Offered
Rapid Antigen COVID-19 Test – (Nasal Swab)
The Covid19 rapid antigen point of care test involves collecting samples from both nasal canals using a nasal swab device. There is usually a lag time from initial exposure to peak infection and the rapid antigen is specifically effective in identifying the presence of the virus before peak infection. So, this test will show positive if the individual was recently (one or two days) infected by the covid-19 virus, but this may vary depending on the individual. Test results are returned within 20 mins.

The cost for the test is $150 but discounts are available for bulk testing. Unfortunately, this test is not covered by insurance policies.
Rapid Antibody COVID-19 Test
This test, although accurate, does not confirm that an individual has an active covid-19 infection. Blood samples are collected to look for antibodies that are produced by a person’s immune system to help fight the virus. These antibodies can also determine if a person had a past covid-19 infection but not if they are still positive for the virus. The presence of antibodies also indicates immunity from the virus, but it is important to note that this might not apply to covid-19 mutations. Test results are returned within 20 mins.
Rapid Antibody COVID-19 Test Payment
The price for the Rapid-Antibody test is $99. Unfortunately, this test is not covered by insurance policies.
